Description:

An amplifier versatile, rugged, and reliable enough for the needs of the working musician. Gig after gig, it delivers the tone you rely on, toughened by the wear of the road. It conveys a full range of expression from singing warmth to biting snarl with depth and clarity. Like an American, it’s loud and rude. Like an Englishman, its agreeable temperament suits guitars, basses, effects pedals, and all sorts.

Over two years in the making, the White Stallion guitar amplifier is the result of rethinking and improving every aspect of amplifier design from the ground up. The character of the overdrive sound is adjusted with the pre-gain three-band equalizer, matching the voicing to your guitar, bass, keyboard, or effects pedal. A powerful post-gain equalizer shapes your tone to sound right with whatever type of speaker cabinet you prefer.

Pre-gain equalization matches your instrument to the amplifier’s overdrive. Increasing the EQ for a given frequency results in an overdrive that compresses that frequency more. Post-gain equalization matches the amplifier’s output to a speaker cabinet. The post-gain EQ setting for a given frequency determines how much of that frequency the amplifier is putting out.

The White Stallion is currently in development and slated for release in Summer 2010. Join the mailing list (sign up on home page) to be notified when the release date is set. In the meantime, check out some of these sound clips:

The clips here move through the highest gain setting for some lead work to a lower gain setting for some soft jazz, then medium gain for some punchy rhythm. The guitars used were a Les Paul for the first through third clip and a Peavy Vandenburg for the fourth clip.
